Comments & review
Review work where it lives. Comments sit on the exact passage or element of the page, replies and mentions reach your inbox, and your agent reads the same discussion when you hand it over.
Comment on the page itself
- Passages. Select words in a Markdown document or an HTML page and comment on them. The comment keeps the quoted passage.
- Elements. Comment on a chart, a button or another element of an HTML page, including elements the page’s own script built.
- Versions. Each comment belongs to the version it was written on, so feedback stays readable after the next release.
Mentions
Type @ or choose Mention someone to bring a teammate into a thread. You can mention people who can already read the page, up to 10 per comment. A mention adds the thread to their inbox. It doesn’t send email and doesn’t grant access.
Your inbox
The inbox collects threads in projects you own, threads you started or replied to, threads you follow and threads that mention you. Filter by Unread, Mentions or All, and mute a thread to stop following it. The inbox lives in Overto; it doesn’t send email or push notifications.
Resolve threads
Resolve a thread you started when the feedback is handled, or reopen it. Maintainers can change the status of anyone’s thread, with a recorded reason.
Hand the discussion to your agent
A comment or a mention never starts an agent. You decide when your own agent picks up the feedback:
- In the viewer, choose Copy for agent. It copies
/overto <artifact-id>(in Codex, type$overto <artifact-id>) for the Overto skill. - Paste it into your agent. It reads the open threads with
overto_comment_listand the current version withoverto_artifact_read. - It revises the page, publishes the next version on top of the one you reviewed, and replies in each thread with
overto_comment_post.
For a single thread, Agent handoff copies the quoted context, the pinned version and instructions for your agent. It sends nothing and contains no credentials.
Who the reply is from
Your agent works with your permissions. Over the standard OAuth connection, its replies are posted under your name. A separately granted delegated agent is shown as the agent acting on behalf of the person who granted it.
